Pictures by Alan Lomax
Exhibition at the Sa Nostra Cultura Hall.
The Sa Nostra Cultural Hall in Sant Francesc is housing until April 22 the exhibition "Alan Lomax a les Balears". The exhibition groups a selection of the pictures that the North American ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax (1915-2002) took in 1952 when hi traveled to Mallorca, Eivissa and Formentera.
The exhibition, that will also be presented in Eivissa and Mallorca, is complemented by music and songs recorded by Lomax during his stay in the Balearic Islands.
