The Roman Castullm of Can Pins, also known as the Castellum of Can Blai, is the most important testimony of the pass by the Romans through Formentera, in the III century AD.

The site is located on the isthmus that connect the Mola with the rest of the island, exactly at kilometre 10 of the road from La Savina to the Pilar, near Es Caló area.

The castle is square shaped, with five towers, one on each corner, in points of the compass, and another that protects the entrance gate.

Situated 10 metres over the sea level, on the highest point of the area, it has strategic views over both sides of the isthmus: the north coast and the south coast.

The construction was not finished and it is not clear if it was a defence fort, a residential building, or if it was to limit the area.
