Some five hundred people of all ages demonstrated on Saturday in Formentera
against the war in Iraq. The demo ended with the reading of the unitary
declaration against the war, that was read by different residents in the
island, in Catalan, French, Italian, Spanish, German, English, Dutch and
Arabic.
The massive attendance at the demonstrations against the war that this
Saturday have been held in the main cities all over the world is, for many
observers, a clear and conclusive reflection from a society that wants
to participate directly in the matters that affects it. People from
all over the world who respond in a global way in solidarity to a
challenge to humanity, such as living in peace.
